 Helen Smith Free Workshops for Young People

Just as Helen L. Smith’s career as an artist began with scholarship assistance, this fund will provide today’s youngest citizens with the opportunity to enjoy the wide array of visual arts promoted through the Center.  For more information about donations to this fund, contact the Community Foundation at 312 East Church Street, Frederick, MD  21701.

Advance registration is required.  To register for a particular workshop:
•  Call 301-698-0656, ext. 321 after 9 am on the registration date indicated in description. 
•  Space is limited, one student per call—no groups.
•  You will receive a confirmation call. 
•  Only students pre-registered will be allowed in the classroom.

Join the fun in the summer sun! While working outside on canvas, students will experience drawing and painting techniques.  Colors mixing as well as composition  will be covered.  The class will be held in our garden, weather permitting.   Please bring your water bottle, hat and/or sun block.
