Drawing skills are fundamental to working successfully in any medium. Explore the technical and conceptual possibilities in drawing and develop a personal visual language. Work from still life and photographs while learning to truly ‘see’ the subject in order to facilitate artistic interpretation.

Figure & Portraiture Drawing (D09)

Learn to create drawings based on in-class observations while drawing the human form or doing a portrait. Class provides an overview of the drawing process as a form of visual thinking in relation to rendering. Engage a variety of techniques and art-making materials including charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, and watercolor.
Students must register at least one week in advance and must be 18 or over or have written permission from a parent.
