Beginning Jewelry (J01)

Learn basic jewelry-making, with tools and techniques for sterling silver and nonferrous metals to create a finished piece of jewelry. Techniques include fabrication from metal, cutting and piercing, using a torch, texturing, soldering, jump-ring and chain making, nontoxic patinas, simple stone setting, metal forming, cold connection/rivet, and buffing. Tuition includes basic materials while supply upgrades may be purchased.
