Helen Smith Free Workshops for Kids

Each year, the Delaplaine offers free workshops for Frederick area youth that explore various artists and art techniques throughout history. These workshops are a part of the Delaplaine’s Community Outreach program and are made possible through donations from the Helen L. Smith Fund.

Photography Scavenger Hunt (ages 9 – 12)
Saturday, May 18 • 1–3 pm

Instructor: Cam Miller
Go on a photography scavenger hunt to look for patterns, shadows, reflections, and different points of view — to compose interesting shots with your digital camera. Learn how to use some camera controls to adjust or enhance your photos. Pick your favorite shot to print and take home with you. Bring your camera with a blank memory card and fully charged battery (no camera phones).

This workshop is full! Thank you to everyone who registered.
